Automation Project Requirements (Utility Software)
We have an existing live automation project for a utility software where data is read from Excel and entered/uploaded into a web portal automatically.
Current Workflow
The automation process consists of 3 major steps:
Basic Profile Module
This module is currently working.
Vitran Module
Vasuli Module
Required Improvements & Enhancements
1. Page-by-Page Data Fetching Fix
In the Vitran and Vasuli modules, the portal data is fetched page by page.
Currently, the automation is not correctly handling pagination/data fetching.
Need proper implementation to fetch and process all records across multiple pages.
2. Posting Accuracy Fix
Vitran and Vasuli posting is not working correctly.
Data mapping, field entry, and submission logic need correction.
Ensure accurate posting without mismatched or missing data.
3. Delete Functionality Fix
The Delete buttons for Vitran and Vasuli are not functioning properly.
Need reliable delete operation handling with proper confirmation/error handling.
4. Performance Optimization
The current automation needs major speed improvements:
Reduce execution time significantly
Optimize browser actions and waits
Improve element handling efficiency
Reduce unnecessary delays
Faster Excel data processing
5. EXE Size Optimization
The generated executable file size should be reduced.
Optimize packaging/build process for smaller deployment size.
6. Production-Level Code Refactoring
The project is already running in a live environment, so it must be upgraded to professional production standards:
Clean and maintainable code structure
Proper modular architecture
Better exception handling
Detailed logging/reporting
Stable execution in live environment
Better recovery from failures
Prevent duplicate processing
7. Excel Integration Enhancements
Excel templates will be provided.
Required:
Proper Excel data reading and validation
Efficient handling of large datasets
Better error detection for invalid/missing data
