Two Excel 2003 Cleaning Macros

I have an XLS file ready for you; the first two worksheets outline exactly what each macro must do and every subsequent sheet already holds the sample data you will need for testing. The job is straightforward: develop two VBA macros that run flawlessly under Excel 2003, each aimed at automating the repetitive data-cleaning steps described in those instruction tabs.
Because the workbook will remain in an older production environment, please keep all code compatible with VBA 6.3—no late-version references or add-ins. When the macros finish, the sheets should be left tidy, consistent and free of the issues called out in the spec (trailing spaces, stray characters, duplicated rows, and similar). Efficiency matters; the data sets grow large, so avoid screen flicker and unnecessary loops.
Deliverables
• Updated workbook with the two macros embedded and ready to run via clearly named buttons on the instruction sheet
• A separate .bas export of each macro, fully commented, so I can import them into other files if needed
• A short read-me summarising any assumptions plus the key steps you automated
I will verify the code by running it on the supplied data, then on a fresh batch; acceptance is complete when the results match the expected outcome noted in the examples.
