Siemens S7-1200 Flow Control

This project centres on a Siemens S7-1200 installation that must supervise and regulate a continuous flow-control process inside an industrial plant. The hardware is already mounted, wiring is complete, and I have a basic I/O list plus P&ID drawings; what is missing is a robust PLC program and the associated commissioning support.
Scope of work
• Build the STEP 7 (TIA Portal) program to handle closed-loop flow control, alarms, interlocks.
• Implement PID blocks and scaling so the system maintains set-point accuracy across varying production rates.
• Simulate with PLCSIM or an equivalent environment before site deployment, then download, test live, and fine-tune parameters on the factory floor.
• Generate concise documentation: annotated logic, parameter sheets, and a start-up guide that maintenance technicians can follow.
Acceptance criteria
1. The process maintains commanded flow within ±1 % under normal load.
2. All safety interlocks trip the relevant outputs within 250 ms.
3. Alarms and status messages appear clearly on the existing Comfort-panel HMI.
4. Delivered source files open without errors in TIA Portal V17.
