Scan-to-Drive Automation Setup

Job ID: 39726801

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I’m looking for a practical, no-frills workflow that lets me scan a stack of papers and know they’ll appear in Google Drive, neatly sorted by date and saved as PDFs.

Here’s the outcome I need:
• Each time I hit the scanner’s “Start” button, the file is captured as a single PDF.
• A dated folder—e.g., 2024-04-30—is created automatically (or selected if it already exists).
• The PDF lands in that folder and is then synced or uploaded to my Google Drive account without me having to move anything manually.

I haven’t locked myself into any particular scanner software yet, so feel free to recommend or configure whatever makes this smooth—whether that’s a built-in utility, a small script, Google Drive for Desktop, or something like NAPS2, AutoHotkey, or a lightweight Python solution. Searchable (OCR) PDFs would be a bonus if it’s easy to add.

Deliverables:
1. A working, tested setup that meets the three bullet points above.
2. Clear, step-by-step notes so I can reinstall or tweak the workflow later.
3. Optional: quick live walkthrough (screen-share is fine) to confirm everything runs as promised.

If you’ve done similar scan-to-cloud automations before, that experience will help us finish this fast.
