Salesforce CPQ Billing Automation
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I run all of our monthly subscription products through Salesforce CPQ, yet every payment-reminder schedule is still built manually. My goal is to switch that work over to an automated process that creates and sends the correct reminder for each invoice in the billing schedule—no more spreadsheets or one-off tasks.
Scope of work
Right after an Opportunity is contracted and the Billing Schedule is generated, the system should automatically pick up the dates, create the reminder records, and queue an email (or preferred notification) to the customer on the right day. I expect the solution to live entirely inside Salesforce CPQ using the most maintainable tools available—Flow Builder is preferred where it can handle the logic; Apex is fine for pieces Flow cannot reach. Everything must respect our existing CPQ configurations, product rules, and approval processes so nothing breaks downstream.
Key deliverables
• A working automation that pulls payment dates from the CPQ Billing Schedule and schedules the corresponding reminders
• Configuration or code packaged and deployed to a sandbox first, then promoted to production via change sets (or SFDX if you prefer)
• Clear, step-by-step documentation so my admin team can edit reminder timing, email templates, and error handling in the future
• A brief hand-off session to review the flow/trigger logic and answer questions
Acceptance criteria
• When a new monthly subscription is contracted, reminder records appear automatically without manual intervention
• Reminders fire on time for at least two full billing cycles in sandbox testing
• No unintended changes to quote, contract, or invoice data and no governor limit violations
Tools in play: Salesforce CPQ, Flow Builder, Apex , Change Sets/SFDX, Email Templates.
If you have a proven track record automating schedules inside CPQ and can deliver clean, documented work, this project is ready to start.
