## QuickBooks Desktop 2024 Automation & Integration Project

I am looking for an experienced QuickBooks Desktop 2024 developer/accounting automation specialist to automate my monthly bookkeeping process.

### Current Setup

I use:

* QuickBooks Desktop 2024 (Windows)
* One primary business checking account
* Square (customer invoicing and credit card payments)
* PayPal (approximately 5 transactions/month)
* American Express (approximately 50 transactions/month)
* Two additional business credit cards (approximately 5 transactions/month each)

My bank account receives:

* Square deposits
* Zelle payments
* Debit card purchases
* Automatic withdrawals
* Occasional check deposits
* Credit card payments

### What I Want

I want a system where, once per month (or automatically), all financial data is imported into QuickBooks Desktop and correctly categorized with minimal manual work.

The system should:

* Import bank transactions.
* Import credit card transactions.
* Import PayPal transactions.
* Import Square transactions.
* Prevent duplicate entries.
* Automatically categorize recurring transactions.
* Identify transactions that need manual review.

### Square Requirements

Square is the most important part of this project.

I invoice customers through Square and want those invoices entered into QuickBooks Desktop with:

* Customer name
* Invoice number
* Invoice date
* Line item descriptions
* Service description
* Amount charged
* Square processing fee
* Net deposit
* Refunds (if applicable)

Income should automatically post to the proper QuickBooks income accounts such as:

* Website Development
* Website Hosting
* IT Consulting
* Business Consulting
* Other service categories

Square processing fees must automatically post to my Credit Card Processing Fees expense account.

### Bank & Credit Card Rules

Recurring vendors should automatically post to the correct expense accounts.

Examples include:

* Utilities
* Office Supplies
* Software Subscriptions
* Insurance
* Internet
* Telephone
* Meals
* Fuel
* Travel
* Merchant Fees

Transfers between accounts should NOT be treated as income or expenses.

Credit card payments should correctly reduce liabilities.

Zelle deposits should be categorized appropriately.
