Python Server Automation Script

I need a Python script that will run reliably on my Linux server and add watermark to images.

Website's backend is PHP so you have to integrate python with PHP.

The exact workflow is straightforward once you see it, but I’d like your help translating it into clean, well-structured code that can be launched from the command line (or scheduled with cron) and log its own activity for easy monitoring.

You should be comfortable:

• Writing production-ready Python 3 code with PHP as website backend.
• Handling Linux-specific considerations such as file permissions, service management, and basic shell interaction
• Adding concise logging and error-handling so I can diagnose issues without digging into the code every time

Deliverables
1. Fully working automation to add watermark automatically to images already uploaded or future upload.
2. A short README or inline comments explaining setup and any required packages
3. A quick walkthrough of how to install dependencies and trigger the script on a typical Ubuntu/CentOS box
