Python - Customize Video Scraper
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
The target platform uses standard HTML pages with embedded players, no restrictive API keys are available, and the page layout is consistent across categories. To customize a ready built video downloader script for following functions
i. GUI to run on Window 10/11 PC
ii. To download videos found from a list of URL in txt file
iii. Save the videos into a structured folders or an Gdrive / S3 bucket.
Here is what I am looking for:
• Automatic capture of the actual video file (MP4/HLS), title, thumbnail, duration, and original URL.
• A simple CSV manifest that lists every asset you pull so I can feed it into my current aggregation pipeline.
• Graceful handling of pagination and duplicates so reruns only fetch new items.
• A clear README that shows setup, command-line usage, and where to adjust the start URL if the site structure changes.
The job is complete when it can run an automated download of a series of video with their metadata from list of URL in txt file, saved to designated folder in set destination, and rerun it without clutter or repeats.
