Price Shopping by SKU with Data Collection Case #4
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I have roughly 350 furniture SKUs in an excel spreadsheet with their item number, name and manufacturer. These are real products that are found on websites for sale mostly using the name of the product and the manufacturer name. The product name starts with the collection name and then the type of item it is. For example:
Adler Nightstand
Adler Six Drawer Dresser
Both of the above are part of the Adler collection sold by a particular company.
Focusing on a single website that I will give you, I need
*Find the collection on the site if it is sold there
*Copy the URL and put it in the excel sheet
*Do a print to PDF and save the page as a PDF (a pdf print has the time and date on it this way)
*how much does the item sell for on that website put into the excel sheet I provided
*the website link (URL) to that product page
Accuracy is invaluable. You can use any tools you have, and any scraper programs you like, but what I get back must be perfect and manually checked. I have noted that AI in this case often pulls the data from one retailer and assigns it to another. Also, it only seems to capture the google shopping price which in reality switches when you go to the actual site.
Furniture items are named by a collection and could have up to 30 items in a collection. Once the collection is found on the website with pricing displayed that matches the actual pricing if you clicked on each individual item, then you will do a print to PDF of the site page there and save it with the site name and collection name. The PDF includes the date at the top which allows me the record of proof. There are a few odd things to note when doing this regarding how chairs are sold and such that I will note with the project.
I know that this took me many hours to do manually for two websites. I do not have that time!
The data that you work with will be organized and added to and then used by my team to decide enforcement procedures. Each website you visit will have its own challenges so I believe that an hourly fee is fairer to you and better than a set fee for each sheet completion. But I am open to your experience and how you like to work.
After completion of one website and my review of your work, I can assign another. I believe that this will be something needed ongoing so forming a relationship will be good.
