Senior Java QA Automation Engineer (Appium + Test Case Expansion)
We are looking for an experienced Java QA Automation Engineer who can review an existing Appium automation framework, complete the remaining test cases, and then replicate the same automation suite for a second mobile application.
This project already has a strong foundation built by a previous senior engineer — including the framework structure, base classes, utilities, page object model, and roughly half of the required automated test scenarios. The next engineer will continue from this point.
Responsibilities
1. Review & Run the Existing Automation Project
- Set up the Java + Appium project on your local machine
- Review the current structure, flows, and test organization
- Run the existing tests to confirm functionality
- Identify what’s complete and what is still missing
2. Complete the Remaining Test Cases
- Use the existing POM structure and coding style
- Implement the remaining scenarios from our test plan
- Strengthen or fix any flaky or incomplete test flows
- Ensure reliability, clarity, and consistency across the suite
3. Duplicate the Automation Suite for a Second Mobile App
- Create new page objects for App #2
- Reuse the same test logic and user flows
- Adapt selectors and interactions for the second app
- Maintain identical structure and naming conventions
4. Code Quality & Documentation
- Clean, maintainable Java code
- Proper use of TestNG and Appium best practices
- Light documentation for new methods, classes, and flows
- Ability to communicate clearly and work within an existing framework
