IRCTC Tatkal Python Automator
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a seasoned developer who can craft a lightning-fast, standalone Python script that reliably secures Tatkal tickets on the official IRCTC site the instant the 10:00 AM / 11:00 AM window opens. The script must completely remove the repetitive drudgery of form filling and tackle the ever-present CAPTCHA hurdle so that the actual booking request is fired in as little time as technically possible, well under the manual average.
Core expectations
• Form filling: every passenger detail, journey parameter, and quota option should be pre-loaded from an easily editable config file and submitted to IRCTC without human intervention.
• CAPTCHA solving: integrate a reputable third-party solving service or an on-device model—whichever produces sub-second response times—while gracefully falling back if the service fails.
Although I am not asking for full payment automation right now, the architecture should leave room to plug that in later, so please keep functions modular.
Acceptance criteria
• Benchmark run that shows a complete login-to-payment-page flow executed inside the first 15 seconds of the Tatkal opening in a realistic network environment.
• Clear README with setup, dependency list, and instructions to update credentials safely.
• Well-commented Python 3 code, no hard-coded personal data, and logs that let me audit each step.
• Deliverables shared via Git repo plus a short screen-capture demo of the script in action.
If you have prior experience defeating high-traffic bottlenecks or automating IRCTC specifically, let me know—speed is everything here.
