Excel Data Entry Automation Tool
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I keep a growing set of records in Excel and I want to stop typing everything straight into cells. Instead, I need a small automation tool—built directly inside the workbook—that pops up a clean, user-friendly form, lets me key in each new record, and then stores the information in the correct table automatically.
Core needs
• Form-based data entry only; no direct cell editing.
• Data are entered manually, so the form should guide the user with drop-downs, date pickers, and basic validation to prevent typos or blanks.
• Once a record is submitted, the macro should place it in the next empty row of the master sheet and, if possible, time-stamp the entry.
• A simple “Edit existing record” function would be a bonus but is not essential for version 1.
I work with the latest Microsoft 365 version, so feel free to use VBA, UserForms, or any other native Excel approach you prefer. The finished file should be plug-and-play: open the workbook, click a button on the ribbon, fill in the form, and watch the data land exactly where it belongs.
Acceptance
I will consider the job complete when I can:
1. Open the provided workbook on Windows 11.
2. Enter ten sample records through the form without touching any worksheets.
3. See those ten records appear perfectly formatted in the data table with no errors.
If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s get started.
