Cypress Web App Test Suite

e’re looking for a freelance QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated tests across Boardable’s web platform (Laravel + Vue). You will work directly with engineering leadership to establish a solid automation foundation, integrate it into CI, and improve our regression coverage.

Responsibilities
• Build end-to-end automated test suites for Boardable’s core workflows (meetings, agendas, documents, tasks, authentication, permissions).
• Set up and maintain automation frameworks (Cypress or Selenium preferred).
• Implement tests for UI, API, and cross-workflow scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests with GitHub Actions CI.
• Analyze and reduce flaky tests; ensure stability across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify test gaps and strengthen quality gates.
• Produce clear documentation for running and extending test suites.

Required Skills
• Proven experience building automation for SaaS apps.
• Strong proficiency in Cypress or Selenium (Cypress preferred).
• Solid understanding of modern web apps (Vue, React, or similar).
• Experience testing complex user flows: file upload, permissions, SSO, video, agendas/documents.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and SQL.
• Comfortable working with GitHub Actions.
• Ability to work independently with fast turnaround.

• Experience with Laravel backend testing (PHPUnit).
• Experience with Vue component testing.
• Familiarity with S3, AWS environments, and multi-tenant SaaS testing.
• Knowledge of accessibility testing tools.
