Build Automated Typesetting Engine + MCP Server (DOCX → Press-Ready PDF + INDD/IDML/QXP)
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need an experienced software developer + automation engineer to build a fully automated typesetting engine that converts a raw Microsoft Word (.docx) manuscript directly into a press-ready PDF and editable layout files — without manually opening InDesign or QuarkXPress.
The system must apply the exact layout and typesetting rules contained in my finished interior PDF and my typesetting standards manual (margins, baseline grid, spacing, hyphenation, widows/orphans, poem/sutra block rules, running heads, chapter openers, etc.).
The entire workflow must run programmatically, with a callable MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so the AI can execute the pipeline automatically.
a DOCX → press-ready PDF automated typesetting engine
with InDesign/Quark/TeX automation
wrapped inside a proper MCP server
and producing INDD, IDML, QXP, PDF
exactly matching your typeset PDF
without manually opening layout software
