BUILD AUTOMATED ROOF MEASURING SOFTWARE
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
BRIEF OVERVIEW OF PROJECT : WE NEED AN AUTOMATED WAY OF MEASURING ROOFS, THEN CREATING A CUSTOM ROOF ESTIMATE USING OUR TEMPLATE, AND OUR PRICING. (SAMPLE ROOF ESTIMATE IS ATTACHED IN FILES "#3. FINAL PDF OUTPUT FROM STAFF SOFTWARE"
Here is what I need the software to do:
Step 1: I want my staff to enter an address
Step 2: I want AUTOMATION (AI) to return the footprint/foundation of the house. (The footprint/foundation will always be covered by a roof, so this will give us our roof measurement).
Step 3: I want my staff to MANUALLY enter the pitch (steepness of the roof). (Unless the pitch of the roof can also be automated, which I don't believe it can. I believe this to have to be a manual entry.)
Step 4: I want the automated foundation area measurement (returned by the AI software), to be multiplied by the roof pitch factor my staff manually enters. (I have attached a file which contains the math calculations for each pitch). Example : If my staff reports the roof is a 4/12 pitch, this means you would have the software calculate the roof based on the attached calculation multiple). This will give us the TOTAL surface area of the roof (without having to manually measure roof).
Step 5: I want my staff to manually obtain the registered homeowners name and enter that into their STAFF USER INTERFACE, which also needs created. (Unless we can automate the homeowner name process as well)
Step 6: I want a customized estimate to be outputted in PDF format (as shown in the attached file on this contest)
Step 7: I need these estimates to be saved into a database, so we can access them later and print them and mail them. I also need them to have the ability to have our math formula changed IN MASS, and have it take place on all existing flyers, and regenerate the same flyer with "updated pricing". (This is a bonus feature and not necessary right this moment).

We currently have a user interface where our staff enters all this data, and it generates the PDF file we need. (We can then print the files in the back end by accessing a special username and password protected site). But we need to see if this process can be automated, because it's very time consuming.
I am attaching the existing USER INTERFACE my staff uses to create these PDF Flyers. (Right now, they HAND MEASURE every single roof, and then assign the pitch factor, and manually retrieve the owners name and mail to address, then hit submit to create a single flyer (flyer = customized roof estimate based on our pricing at the time).
