Project Description

Alan Scott Automation and Robotics Ltd is looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer to work on automation machine design projects.
The designer should be able to create the complete sub-assemblies, and detailed component drawings, along with RFM (Ready for Manufacturing) documentation.

Scope of Work

Design complete automation machine assemblies

Develop detailed sub-assemblies

Prepare individual component drawings for manufacturing

Deliver full RFM documentation package (2D & 3D files)

Coordinate design reviews and implement feedback

Skills Required

Strong experience in automation machine / robotics design

Proficiency in SolidWorks software

Good knowledge of mechanical design principles, motion systems, and manufacturing processes

Ability to create accurate assembly & part drawings

Understanding of GD&T and tolerances

Deliverables

3D CAD models of the complete machine and sub-assemblies

2D manufacturing drawings in PDF/DWG formats

BOM (Bill of Materials)

RFM documentation package

Preferred Experience

Background in automation machinery or robotics

Experience with industrial components (pneumatics, actuators, conveyors, etc.)

Prior freelancing or design consultancy experience
