AWS & DNS Failover Expert Needed for Automatic Backup Server Switching
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I am looking for an experienced AWS / DevOps / Server Engineer to set up an automatic failover system for my application.
Current Setup
My primary application is hosted on an AWS server.
I also have a secondary backup server/domain (Crazy Domain hosting) that can serve the application if the AWS server becomes unavailable.
Requirement
I need a solution where:
The system continuously monitors the health of my AWS server.
If the AWS server goes down or becomes unreachable for any reason, traffic is automatically redirected to the backup server/domain.
Once the AWS server is back online and healthy again, traffic should automatically switch back to the AWS server.
The entire process should be fully automated with minimal or no manual intervention.
Skills Required
AWS infrastructure and networking.
DNS management and automatic DNS failover.
Load balancing, health checks, and high-availability architecture.
Experience with Route 53, Cloudflare, or similar DNS failover solutions.
Linux server administration and web server configuration (Nginx/Apache).
Experience setting up disaster recovery and automated failover systems.
Deliverables
Configure and test automatic failover between AWS and the backup server.
Ensure minimal downtime during switching.
Document the setup and provide instructions for future maintenance.
Verify that the system automatically reverts to the primary AWS server once it is available again.
Please apply only if you have previous experience implementing automatic DNS/server failover and high-availability solutions. Include details of similar projects you have completed.
