Automate PDF Ebook Distribution -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an existing e-book in PDF format and I want the entire “E-book” automation flow handled for me—from prepping the file to having it live on Amazon Kindle, Apple iBooks and Google Play Books.
Scope of work
• Convert the source PDF into all platform-ready formats (EPUB, MOBI/KPF, and any other file type each store prefers) without layout losses.
• Set up an automated or repeatable workflow—scripts, InDesign/Calibre settings, or cloud-based tools—that takes the PDF, outputs the correct formats, embeds metadata and cover art, then uploads or queues the book on the three stores.
• Make sure store-specific requirements (ISBN handling, pricing tiers, image resolution, table of contents, accessibility tags) are validated automatically so the files clear each platform’s checks on the first pass.
Acceptance criteria
1. A single command or clearly documented step sequence converts the PDF into compliant files for all three platforms.
2. Automated upload (or documented semi-automated method where APIs are limited) successfully delivers the titles to:
– Amazon Kindle
– Apple iBooks
– Google Play Books
3. Each store’s previewer shows correct formatting, active links, and working table of contents.
4. You provide the reusable scripts/config files plus a short README so I can rerun the workflow for future editions.
Feel free to recommend your preferred tools—Calibre CLI, Kindle Create, Apple Books Publisher, Google Books Partner Center API, Python, bash, Zapier or others—as long as the final process is reliable and easy for me to repeat.
