Automate Operational Reporting Workflow
Budget: ₹2,500 – ₹0 INR
I handle visa-processing operations for the Nordic and DACH regions and create daily and monthly operational reports drawn from multiple data sources. Right now, a large part of my reporting time is consumed by repetitive data entry—copying figures from raw application logs into our master Excel workbooks before the dashboards can update. I’d like to hand that chore over to code.
What I need is a clean, reliable data-entry automation that slots into my existing workflow and leaves me free to analyse the numbers instead of typing them. The raw files arrive in CSV and XLSX formats, and the consolidated workbook sits in Microsoft 365. If you prefer Python (pandas / openpyxl), VBA, Power Query, or a low-code RPA tool such as Power Automate or UiPath, I’m open—as long as the solution runs locally on Windows 11 and can be triggered with a single click.
Deliverable
• A working automation script or flow that reads the daily files, validates basic field formats (date, centre code, application count), and inserts the data into the correct tables of the master workbook without breaking existing pivot charts and Power BI connections.
• Clear setup instructions and commented code so I can maintain it myself.
• A brief hand-off session (video or written walkthrough) confirming everything runs end to end on my machine.
Acceptance criteria
The automation must import at least 500 historical files in one batch without error, complete a daily import in under one minute, and preserve all formulas and chart links in the master report.
If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s talk timelines and any access you’ll need.
