Automation Software Engineer — DJI Dock & DJI Terra Workflow
Project Summary
I’m looking for an experienced Automation Software Engineer with proven knowledge of DJI Drones and, most importantly, the DJI Terra software platform.
This project revolves around building a fully automated end-to-end workflow:
Capture: Drone mission (via DJI Dock 3) completes and lands.
Transfer: Photos automatically sync from the dock to a cloud folder.
Processing: DJI Terra (via API/SDK) automatically imports the images.
Computation: Terra reconstructs 3D model, applies GCP/RTK, and computes volumetric data.
Output: Final volumetric figure is exported and surfaced in a dashboard (Power BI / Innovate 3D).
Every step of this chain must be automated — no manual intervention. This will require working with DJI’s SDK (Cloud API, Terra API, Mobile/Edge SDK).
What I’m Looking For
Demonstrated experience automating DJI drone workflows (bonus if you’ve worked with DJI Dock or Terra specifically).
Proficiency with DJI SDKs (Cloud API, Terra API, Edge SDK, Mobile SDK).
Strong background in automation/orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Temporal, N8N, Azure Logic Apps, etc.).
Familiarity with data pipelines, cloud storage integrations, and dashboard delivery (Azure, Power BI, APIs).
Understanding of traceability, auditability, and standards-based design (RBAC, CI/CD, secure automation).
