Auto-Export Fillable PDF to Word
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I have an existing form that needs to be rebuilt as a fillable PDF. Users will complete it on-screen, choosing values from drop-down menus and typing into standard text fields. As soon as the form is saved or submitted, the captured data must flow automatically into a matching Microsoft Word document, preserving the same layout and formatting.
I’m open to the most reliable method—whether that involves Acrobat JavaScript, a custom VBA macro, or another proven automation tool—but the final workflow has to feel seamless for non-technical staff: they fill out the PDF, click once, and a perfectly formatted Word file appears.
Acceptance criteria
• Fillable PDF replicates the current form’s design exactly.
• Text fields and drop-down menus work in the latest versions of Acrobat Reader.
• One-click or automatic export sends all entered data into the correct placeholders in Word, with no manual copy-paste.
• Both files and any supporting scripts/macros are delivered unlocked so I can update them later if the form changes.
