Sustainable Design and Building Simulation Analysis

Portfolio is to be backed up with the sketches of your sustainable design concepts, images of your building simulation and contain appropriate discussion and conclusions on the results of building simulation analysis carried out

Task 1: Portfolio of 5 A3 sheets covers at least 1500 words
Undertake advanced and independent research and critically evaluate a chosen building case study (let me know what you propose as a case study) and theoretical approach related to sustainable design.

Task 2: Portfolio of 15 A3 sheets covers at least 3500 words
Using design proposal for your building, undertake necessary modelling and simulation to produce:

 Series of sketches and precedent research depicting sustainable design strategy, passive approaches and services integration for your building
 Building Suncast Shadow Studies, Shading Design, Internal Sun Penetration
 Daylight/Artificial Light visual simulation study for a chosen part of building interior space
 Other visual impact studies
 Thermal Analysis of a part of your building
 Environmental Cost Impact Analysis
 Site and Building Carbon Neutrality Potential Analysis
