Revit Technician
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Good day,
We are an architectural practice looking for a Revit
technician to assist us in drawing up existing buildings from Point
cloud models.
We have hundreds of these projects that need to be completed over the
next two years so a constant flow of work income could be expected.
The final product you would be expected to deliver, would be a basic
as-built model (only the model and area schedules are required. No
requirements for council submission or any other plans) of the existing
structures that complies with our office’s Revit standards and template.
You would be able to provide timelines at the beginning of these
projects and weekly “check in” meetings would be held remotely to ensure
the agreed upon timelines are being adhered to.
Prior to the appointment, we would require a short Revit “test” to be
completed to ensure that the candidate’s capabilities are aligned with
our requirements.
Please let us know if you are interested in this opportunity and would like to discuss the matter in further detail.
Below the requirements of the deliverable:
• LOD 200 (AEC standard definition) Revit model where all elements visible in the point cloud is modelled to BPAS standards – similar to the project files in the links
1. Visible fixed equipment & fixtures to be modelled i.t.o roof drainage, fire equipment.
2. Building envelope and materials
3. Direct adjacent surface interfaces leading to the building (up to 2m, or reasonable detail)
4. Materiality to be captured in models
• GCA area plans, which will determine and fix the cost/m² per building. (GCA based on SAPOA standards, covered walkways included).
• There is no need to set up specific drawings or views. You can use the BPAS modeling view templates set up in the Revit template provided for modeling purposes.
• Assumptions will need to be made in certain areas where the scanner can’t reach hidden areas. (BPAS can assist with queries should the need arise). Assumptions can be listed for BPAS to agree with assumptions made.
• Buildings are in general 1 to 3 storeys with basic construction methods. Due to the nature of the typology, some multi-storey buildings might have a form of repeatability per floor and classroom dimensions.
• NDA to be signed by subconsultant.
Kind regards
