An individual portfolio based submission, based on an in-depth project case study negotiated with the client, critically analysing and evaluating project needs in terms of advanced parametric modelling, customisation and visualisation. You will also critically evaluate and apply advanced parametric computer modelling and understand principles of visual programming and/or BIM API customisation. You will be expected to critically reflect upon and plan for acquisition, synthesis, manipulation and seamless integration of digital project information. You will also produce and exhibit high-quality project material and artefacts in relation to your proposal, considering the use of advanced visualisation techniques.

Project:
This is an individual digital A3 portfolio based submission of an in-depth project case study (5000 words excluding the Figures, Appendices, References etc.). The submission will consist of the following:

Task 1: 2000 words

1. Theoretical study / critical analysis and evaluation of the negotiated project needs in terms of advanced parametric modelling, customisation and visualisation.

Task 2: 3000 words

2. Application of advanced parametric computer modelling and visual programming and/or BIM API customisation, including detailed visual explanation of your modelling development process, in a “step by step” manner.
(4-6 A3 sheets)

3. Critically reflect upon and plan for acquisition, synthesis, manipulation and seamless integration of digital project information.
(2-3 A3 sheets)

4. Produce high quality project material (including any artefacts in relation to your proposal), considering use of advanced parametric and visualisation techniques.

5. A copy of your work (should be editable with complete rights to the client) to be delivered as a word/PowerPoint file for Task 1 and Autodesk Revit file for Task 2.
