Autodesk Inventor Timber Shed Drafting

Job ID: 40279527

Budget: $5 – $25 USD

I regularly build small timber structures—think horse stables, open-front shelters, and compact workshops—and I need clean, accurate Inventor models so my team can generate cut lists and assembly drawings without additional rework.

We also want to use the models for 3d rendered models

The brief is focused on the structural shell only: posts, beams, rafters, purlins, bracing, and cladding layout. No interior fit-out or joinery hardware beyond what’s essential for framing.

Here’s how I see the workflow: I provide sketch dimensions, roof pitch, and any local code requirements, and you return a fully constrained Autodesk Inventor part/assembly that I can tweak for length or bay spacing. From that model I also need flat-patterned drawings with member sizes, overall dimensions, and a simple BOM.

I work in Inventor 2023, so the files must open natively in that version. Accuracy and ease of modification are more important than photorealism—keep features sensible and parametric. If you’ve detailed timber frames before, you’ll know the typical connections; if not, I’m happy to clarify my standard details.

Deliverables
• Inventor 2023 .iam and .ipt files for each structure
• Associated 2D drawings (DWG or IDW) ready for print

I’m looking for a quick turnaround on the first design, with more variants to follow once we’re both comfortable with the workflow.
