Buck-Boost Converter PCB Design

Job ID: 40465464

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

I am looking for an experienced electronics engineer to design a buck-boost DC-DC converter board. The board takes a 24 VDC input and produces two regulated outputs (5 V and 48 V), with the 48 V output switchable via an external E-stop circuit. A detailed specification document with mechanical drawings is available on request — the points below are the essentials.

Electrical
- 24 VDC input → 5 VDC and 48 VDC outputs (buck-boost topology)
- Texas Instruments ICs preferred where suitable
- 3 × SMD status LEDs, one per rail (24 V, 5 V, 48 V)

Mechanical / layout:
- PCB: 50 × 90 mm, R5 corners, max 4 layers, components on both sides allowed
- 4 × M3 mounting holes (Ø3.20 mm hole / Ø5.80 mm pad), 40 × 80 mm pattern, all connected to GND
-Screw terminals: 5.08 mm pitch, TE Connectivity 282837-XX series — 1× Vin (24 V), 1× E-stop, 2× 5 V, 1× 48 V
- 5 × 20 mm fuse holders for all fuses

Protection
- Input (24 V): fuse, reverse polarity protection, overvoltage protection
- 48 V output: fuse, overvoltage cutoff that disconnects the 48 V line if the converter produces an out-of-spec voltage (fault condition on the converter), bleeder resistor

E-stop circuit
-The 48 V output must be switched via a PCB-mounted print relay (APAN3105 or equivalent)
-The E-stop switch itself is external — only the screw terminal for the E-stop wiring lives on the board

Toolchain
Design files must be delivered in Autodesk Fusion 360 (Electronics) or Autodesk Eagle. Please mention which one you will use.

Deliverables:
- Complete schematic (PDF + source file)
- PCB layout (source files)
- Gerber files ready for manufacturing
- Bill of Materials with manufacturer part numbers
- Assembly drawing / pick-and-place file
