I need a structural engineer for a 11 foot support beam
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Renovating a 2 story 1728sqft house. Looking to remove 11 foot load bearing wall between kitchen and dining. Need help sizing support beam for that span. Looking to use 2x8 douglas fir for beam, cut floor joist above and use joist hangers so ceiling is flush below. There is a second floor approx 864 sqft.
