Need certificate of no rise for a property in Abilene TX. Property is in floodway. I want to convert (rebuild really) a 10' x 20' garage into an accessory dwelling unit. The garage was included in the most recent FEMA flood maps...just need engineer to certify that this structure won't increase flood width/rise...
This No-rise Certification must be supported by technical data and signed by a registered professional engineer. The supporting technical data should be based on the standard step-backwater computer model used to develop the 100-year floodway shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) or Flood Boundary and Floodway Map (FBFM).
