Wooden Chicken Coop and Run Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am seeking a dynamic CAD expert who is proficient in creating detailed designs for wooden framed structures. The project involves crafting a sound plan for a chicken coop and run using wood as the primary material.
Specifications:
- A coop building that is 10' x 6' and 8' tall using standard framing. A gable roof sloping 6:12 and overhanging one foot on all sides, and the peak of the roof runs parallel to the 6' side. The coop building has a plywood floor supported with joists resting on a foundation made of 4x4s laying on the ground. The siding of the building can be plywood.
- A run that is 10' x 24' abutting the coop building along the 10' side (so the overall structure is 10' x 30'). The run has a gable roof with the same slope as the building, overhanging 1' on the 3 sides it doesn't abut the building. The run does not have a floor, but the walls have a foundation of 4x4s.
This drawing is for planning the framing, so should represent the wood structure, studs, top/bottom plates, truss, perlins, foundation. It does not need to include hardware or accessories.
Deliverables:
PDF of elevation and plan view (2 sides) of each part of the structure (coop and run)
DXF or other raw CAD file so I can tweak later if needed. Preferably FreeCAD but I don't care.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in working with CAD software
- Knowledge of designing wooden structures
- Understanding of qualities needed for chicken coops and runs
