UGears-Style Plywood Mechanism Design

I’m creating a laser-cut plywood model inspired by UGears kits and need a skilled product designer to turn my concept into production-ready files. AutoCAD is my preferred environment, but I’m open to downstream conversion if it helps the workflow.

The model should reach a moderate level of detail: think visible gears, linkages, and a few moving sub-assemblies that demonstrate real mechanical motion without crossing into clock-maker complexity. Finished product will have wood joineries, kinetic motion, mechanial assemblies etc. Finished parts will be laser cut from 3 mm birch plywood and assembled into a fully functional prototype, so accuracy of fit and repeatability are critical.



Deliverables
• Native AutoCAD 3D model with parametric constraints
• 2D DXF/DWG layouts, optimally nested for laser cutting
• Exploded view or short animation that clearly shows the assembly sequence
• Simple BOM noting part counts, plywood thickness, and any off-the-shelf hardware (rubber bands, dowels, etc.)

Acceptance criteria
• All joints press-fit snugly; no sanding or glue should be required for basic assembly
• Moving sections operate freely by hand with consistent clearance
• Prototype can be cut, assembled, and tested by me using only the supplied files
