**Project Title:**
Mechanical Design Engineer Required for Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) Cable Tray / Drag Chain System (3-Tunnel)
**Project Description:**
We are working on a refurbishment project for a 3-tunnel Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop the mechanical arrangement of the cable management system.
The scope involves designing a cable tray / drag chain (energy chain) system for proper routing and protection of power and control cables across moving sections of the boarding bridge.
**Scope of Work:**
* Design mechanical arrangement for cable routing across 3 telescopic tunnels
* Selection and integration of drag chain (energy chain) system
* Define fixed and moving points for cable system
* Design support structures, guide channels, and mounting brackets
* Ensure proper bending radius and load handling of cables
* Provide detailed fabrication and installation drawings
* Coordinate with electrical cable layout requirements
**Technical Requirements:**
* Experience in mechanical design of moving systems (PBB, cranes, material handling, telescopic systems, etc.)
* Knowledge of drag chain systems (e.g., solutions similar to those from igus or equivalent)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
* Understanding of cable management in dynamic applications
* Ability to perform load calculations and ensure system durability
**Deliverables:**
* General Arrangement (GA) drawings
* Detailed mechanical drawings (2D/3D)
* Drag chain selection and layout
* Support and mounting design
* Bill of Materials (BOM)
* Installation guidelines
**Project Inputs (to be provided):**
* Existing PBB drawings (3-tunnel configuration)
* Cable details (type, size, quantity)
* Travel length and movement details
* Site constraints
**Preferred Experience:**
* Prior work on airport systems or Passenger Boarding Bridges
* Experience with refurbishment/retrofit projects
