Traditional Sunroom Addition Plans

Job ID: 39358855

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need detailed building plans and/or engineering drawings for a traditional-style sunroom addition to a residential home in the Atlanta, GA area. While professional CAD drawings would be nice, these will be used to apply for a city permit, and the city has stated that hand-drawn drawings are acceptable, as long as it's to scale. The total square footage is about 200, and we are replacing an existing deck, using the same footprint. There will be no slab, as the entire sunroom will be approximately 18 inches off the ground. We will need to ensure the design supports the extra weight of walls/roof, etc. The old deck had 6 posts in the ground, so we will be using the same approach (with new posts, designed to meet code).

Key Requirements:
- Structural integrity and compliance with local building codes for Gwinnett County (Georgia)
- Design should incorporate traditional aesthetics

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in architectural design software
- Experience with residential home additions
- Knowledge of local building regulations
- Strong background in traditional design elements

Final Thoughts:
We have already hired a contractor to do the construction and electrical work, so you will need to collaborate with him to make sure the design meets what he has in mind, and what we were quoted. There will be no HVAC or plumbing involved for this project. The level of detail in the drawings will need to meet the requirements (attached PDF) from the city permit office.

Looking forward to your proposals!
