110 kV Switchyard Design Package
Budget: ₹50,000 – ₹150,000 INR
I need a complete suite of technical drawings and calculations for a new 110 kV outdoor switchyard. Work begins with the Single Line Diagram and overall layout, which will set the baseline for every other discipline.
Single Line Diagram & Layout
The first milestone is a fully detailed SLD that clearly shows:
• Voltage levels and all major components (incoming feeders, bus bars, breakers, isolators, CTs / PTs, surge arresters, transformers, etc.)
• Protection and control schemes, including CT / PT ratios, trip logic, and interface points to the relay panels
• Interconnection details to the upstream network and downstream loads, with proper bus nomenclature and tagging
Once I approve this SLD and the associated general arrangement layout, the remaining packages follow:
– Earthing layout and full earth-mat calculation, modelled to achieve target step-and-touch potentials
– Civil foundation drawings for equipment, control room, cable trenches, and fencing
– Steel structure drawings for equipment mounting, gantries, and lighting masts
– Relay coordination study, including fault level calculation (preferably in ETAP, PowerFactory, or equivalent) with settings sheets and coordination curves
– Bill of materials and drawing index
All drawings must be delivered in AutoCAD (DWG) with a plotted PDF set, issued in my title block and layer naming convention. Calculations and studies are to be submitted in editable native files plus a consolidated PDF report.
Acceptance criteria
1. Drawings conform to IEC and local utility standards and pass a peer design check.
2. Earth-mat model demonstrates compliance with IEEE 80 step- and touch-potential limits.
3. Relay settings provide at least 0.3 s grading margin with adjacent protections.
4. Final package is fully cross-referenced, free of clashes, and ready for construction release.
When responding, highlight past switchyard or substation projects at 66 kV and above, the specific software you will use, and how long you will need for the first approved SLD.
