Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
We are looking to manufacture container houses ranging in sizes and layouts. Some are single storey and others are double storey. Some may consist of 3x 40FT containers making them approximately 90 SQM. Some will consist of 4x 40FT containers for upstairs level and 4x 40FT containers for downstairs level for a total of 8 containers.
As the containers will require major modification to allow for openings (e.g. doors, windows, hallway etc. as the strength will be compromised. We propose the use of steel framing internally to suit.

Conduct a thorough review of the Australian Building Code and relevant standards applicable to residential structures.
Integrate code requirements into the structural design, ensuring full compliance with Australian regulations.
Structural Calculations:
Provide comprehensive structural calculations for the container-style houses, covering load analysis, foundation design, and structural stability.
Clearly document and communicate the rationale behind structural decisions and calculations.
Material Specification:
Steel Framing Required for materials. Will require advise pertaining to steel framing requirements on floor, walls and ceiling and provision of required engineering calculations.
Technical Documentation:
Create detailed technical documentation, including structural drawings, specifications, and any other documentation required for regulatory approvals.
Code Compliance Documentation:
Prepare documentation demonstrating compliance with Australian Building Codes, including any necessary certifications or supporting materials required by local authorities.
Review and Revision:
Review design iterations and provide constructive feedback to optimise structural efficiency and compliance.
Requirements:
Professional experience in structural engineering, with a focus on residential structures.
In-depth knowledge of Australian Building Codes and relevant standards.
Proficiency in structural analysis software and tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to provide clear, concise documentation.
