Structural Engineer
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I am looking to lodge an "other change" application with Gold Coast City Council to amend an existing approval. I have a draftsman to do the drawings but he has advised that I will need an engineer to re-certify the pontoon.
Background
Original approval was granted in 2007 when the property in Surfers Paradise was a single dwelling.
The property is now occupied by a duplex (since about 2013 when construction started).
I had a boat and my duplex neighbour has a jetski (which is still there).
Another neighbour made a complaint to council that my boat was not moored within the mooring area.
Council inspected the site and found that, while the boat and jet ski were, in fact, inside the mooring area, the original approval was for only 1 boat.
Council issued a "show cause" notice and as a result I had to remove my boat.
I know need a variation so that I can have a boat or jet ski on the jetty and so can my duplex neighbour.
