Steel Warehouse & Foundation Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a seasoned structural engineer to take my warehouse concept from a bare CAD layout to a fully detailed design that satisfies British Standards or Eurocode. You will handle the complete steel frame and foundation design, model everything in STAAD Pro (my preferred platform), and document every assumption and result so the package is ready for permitting, tender, and construction.
I will share the CAD file that defines the footprint, heights, and overall layout. From there, please apply all standard dead, live, wind, and seismic loads required for a safe industrial structure and run the full analysis. Your final submission should include:
• The native STAAD Pro model with all load cases and combinations
• Clean plan, elevation, and connection drawings in PDF and DWG formats
• A concise calculation report that walks through load derivation, code clauses used, member design checks, and deflection summaries
Present the information clearly so it can be peer-reviewed or value-engineered if needed. If you routinely use supplementary tools (e.g., Tekla for detailing, AutoCAD for drafting) that is fine—just be sure the STAAD Pro file and a coherent report remain the core deliverables.
