Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer with expertise in drafting tile shop drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tile layouts, materials, and installation methods, and will create precise technical drawings to support our design and construction teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 2D shop drawings for tile layouts, including floors, walls, backsplashes, and feature designs.
Create accurately dimensioned plans, elevations, and sections, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
Specify tile types, patterns, colors, finishes, and grout details.
Incorporate substrate preparation, waterproofing, and other installation requirements into the drawings.
Ensure drawings meet applicable building codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to refine designs.
Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope.
Provide cut sheets and material takeoffs as needed for procurement and installation.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in CAD software .
Strong knowledge of tile materials, layouts, and installation techniques.
Excellent understanding of dimensioning, scaling, and annotation standards.
Ability to create shop drawings that are clear, precise, and error-free.
Experience in architectural or interior design projects is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clients and teams.
