Solar interconnection with PG&E and permit in San Francisco help
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have design and line diagrams for a diy residential solar project on a roof that is both flat and has an attached A frame at 45degrees. However, there are a couple of issues:
1) I'm not 100% sure that the designs will pass the required fire setbacks.
a) For the flat part of the roof, I was told 3 different setback requirements by 3 different firms, Unirac told me 12", my firm I used said 18", and another recommended firm said 36".
b) For the pitched part of the roof, my firm did not require any setback from the ridge. The A frame part that faces the flat roof is 100" high, so enough for a panel, but how much setback is required?
2) I have a 200/200amp elec panel. I will have 2 inverters with 64amps of throughput. What is the best way to set up the electric panel for the interconnection agreement given that I have to do one of the following to comply with the 120/125% rule:
a) a line side tap for the existing 200/200a elec panel
b) derate main breaker on existing 200/200a elec panel to 150a
c) install a new 225/200a elec panel, and derate main breaker to 175a
d) Or some other solution.
