Simplify a dwg file to reduce drawing lines to the minimum, the external lines of the machine.

I have a heavy drawing on AutoCAD of 1;8 mega and want to reduce it as much as possible in size by removing al the unnecessary lines and just keeping the outside line of the machine.
Few inside line may remain, but the file must be very light !
