RiseWall Concrete Pool Design

Job ID: 40497159

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I’m at the very first, conceptual stage of planning a residential swimming pool built entirely in reinforced concrete. The pool will be a simple, rectangular shell formed in a single monolithic pour with RiseWall lay-flat sacrificial formwork.

Here is what I need from you:

I’m about to cast a monolithic, reinforced-concrete swimming-pool shell and I need the entire formwork design built entirely around RiseWall - Lay-Flat "water resistant", sacrificial formwork panels. If you have not already designed with this specific system, then PLEASE PASS ON THIS PROJECT. Proven RiseWall Lay-Flat experience is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL
Design Manual available from https://riseproducts.com

SCOPE of WORK

• Create a complete layout for floor, walls, corners, seats and steps using only RiseWall Lay-Flat components, showing panel cuts, tie spacing, proprietary clips and all temporary bracing.

• Provide a reinforced concrete design for a free standing, self supporting, rectangular swimming pool that will withstand full hydrostatic and pour pressures, maintaining cover for the reinforcement schedule that you will supply.
• Incorporate waterproof RiseWall Lay-Flat product and define
details at plumbing penetrations, skimmer box, lighting and eliminate any potential cold joints.
• Deliver a smooth, tile-ready internal surface once the panels remain in place after the pour. The finished pool size shall be nominally 8 m long X 4m wide X 1.8m deep poured as a monolithic continuous pour to leave a homogeneous rectangular concrete high-sided tray or box. Provision and details for inclusion an automatic floor cleaning system and other normal plumbing penetrations will be required and included. A weir system to catch leaves and provide a constant pool water level and pool suction point will be included as a part of the design

Deliverables
1. Fully dimensioned shop drawings in PDF and editable CAD/DWG.
2. Pour sequence and vibration points to guarantee uninterrupted concrete flow.
3. Bill of quantities for all RiseWall panels, ties, braces and accessories.
4. Brief calculation memo confirming load capacity, tie spacing and deflection checks.
5. Computations drawings and detailed engineering design including concrete and reinforcing specifications.

Acceptance criteria:

Drawings must match RiseWall Lay-Flat manufacturer tolerances, allow easy on-site assembly.

Project must be certified by a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) the cost of which is included in your offer. This requirement is a mandate

Design must be prepared in accordance with the following Australian Standards: AS. 3600 - governing all concrete structures. AS 2783:2025 - Use of reinforced concrete for small swimming pools.

Preferred tools include AutoCAD or Revit for drafting and RISA (or similar) for quick checks, but I’m flexible as long as the final files are editable and can be provided finally in .pdf format.

Other notes:
Site geotechnical report will be provided to successful applicant. The site has already been cut down to a depth where the substrate is solid and uniform and it is proposed to found the pool structure on a leveled bed of compacted sand or crusher dust.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We withdrew / cancelled our original project because too many unqualified people applied who lacked the necessary qualifying criteria. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT CONFORM TO THE RIGID CRITERIA NOTED IN THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION.

In addition the following inclusions are a must.
• A complete conceptual structural layout that shows wall and slab thicknesses, typical reinforcement patterns, and how the RiseWall panels integrate with the steel cage.
• Preliminary hydraulic and circulation schematics sized for normal family use.
• A concise bill of quantities so I can price materials and labour early.
• All drawings in DWG (AutoCAD) plus PDF.
