Residential Steel Building Foundation Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need an experienced structural engineer to design anchor bolts and a slab-on-grade foundation for a pre-engineered steel building to be constructed on compacted sandy clay soil. Building supplier is Fortify Building Solutions.
The main building is 130'L X 65'W X 20' Eave height for agricultural equipment storage and workshop.
Attached to one side of the main building there is also a 68'L X 34'W X 10' Eave height building for residential use plus a 34'L X 16'W X 10' Eave height porch.
Wind loads for this location: 160 MPH
Requirements:
- Detailed anchor bolt layout
- Slab-on-grade foundation design 5-1/2" - 6"
- Soil analysis consideration for sandy clay
- Structural integrity and stability assurance
Ideal skills and experience:
- Structural engineering expertise
- Experience with residential steel buildings
- Knowledge of sandy clay soil behavior
- Relevant certifications and qualifications acceptable in Alabama.
