Residential Building Structural Design
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a structural engineer to update existing plans for an interior home remodel to submit to the City of Henderson, NV for an owner/builder permit.
The city wants drawings from an engineer mainly for the following: (complete plans to be discussed if you are interested in this assignment)
-replacement of two windows to two larger windows with new header to carry load of second floor above
-replacement of a double front door with glass block sidelights to a single pivot door with larger glass sidelights with new header to carry load of second floor above.
Window and door manufacturer to supply engineering specs to engineer
-removal of upstairs fireplace and replace with wall and new opening to primary bath (non-load bearing)
-re-framing of shower wall to accomodate bench (non-load bearing)
-additional items to be discussed.
I have already met with the city and they are satisfied with my electrical and plumbing drawings that will be stamped by an electrical contractor and a plumbing contractor to be included in my submission.
I would like to work with a structural engineer who can work with me on my submission and can work through any changes that the city requests.
