Reinforced Concrete Bund Design BS8007
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
I need a full reinforced-concrete design for a bund that will surround a large wastewater storage tank holding well over 200 000 L. The structure must comply with BS 8007 in every respect—from crack control and serviceability checks through to ultimate-limit verification—so that we can demonstrate watertightness to both our client and the regulator.
The tank contents are industrial effluent but, after a preliminary review, we believe a standard concrete mix will meet durability requirements; no special chemical-resistance additives are planned unless your calculations prove otherwise.
Please base your work on the following scope and hand-over items:
• Calculations: full set of BS 8007 design checks (actions, load combinations, crack width, deflection, reinforcement percentages).
• Drawings: GA and reinforcement details ready for construction, supplied in both PDF and editable DWG.
• Bar-bending schedule and concise design note that links each drawing call-out to the calculations.
• Brief commentary on construction joints and any water-stop provisions required by the code.
I will supply tank geometry, soil data and any additional loads the moment we start. If you regularly use tools such as TEDDS, Robot, Staad or equivalent spreadsheet templates, let me know, but native hand calculations are equally acceptable as long as they are clear and code-referenced.
Delivery timeline is flexible within reason; accuracy and BS 8007 compliance are the priorities.
