Rambler Home 2nd Floor Expansion
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m looking to transform my existing rambler/ranch style home through the addition of a second floor. This expansion is primarily targeted towards adding extra living space for my family’s growing needs. Here’s what I envision:
Key Additions:
- Addition of 2 new bedrooms
- A convenient home office space
- A common bathroom
-Main level design transforming the current 3 bedrooms and bath into one main primary suite with walk-in closet and large bathroom
I'm looking for an architect/designer that is well-versed with residential construction and home renovations. The ideal freelancer should have a sound knowledge of local building regulations, and should be adept in maximizing the use of available spaces. Past work on similar second story home extensions would be a plus. Please provide your proposal with an estimated timeline and costs associated for the job.
Attachments are ideas of what I am looking for. The kitchen/main room will remain as-is as well as mud room, with the addition being on the left side of the drawing. Currently on the first floor there are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms with a narrow hallway. Bathrooms are located in same spots as current bathrooms, but made into different sizes.
