Architectural Design Brief: Prefab Affordable Housing Project – Turks & Caicos Islands
Project Overview:
We are developing a prefabricated affordable housing community in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The aim is to create an efficient, sustainable, and cohesive development that delivers comfortable, cost-effective homes for low- to middle-income residents.
Design Reference:
I already have a mock-up drawing that outlines the general concept and layout. You can use this as a visual reference to create professional architectural plans and renderings with improved detail, accuracy, and presentation. The final plans should reflect the same concept but refined according to best architectural and planning practices.
Design Requirements:
Please prepare the following deliverables:
1. Site Plan
All housing units and amenities must be situated on a single shared parcel of land.
Show vehicular access, internal roads, and designated parking areas for residents and visitors.
Include common areas, green/open spaces, and utility/service zones.
Identify reserved areas for future development (e.g., community building, playground, or additional units).
Show topography/orientation to optimize sunlight exposure and natural ventilation.
2. Floor Plans
Provide floor plans for each prefabricated housing type (e.g., single-family unit, duplex, or compact multi-unit).
Indicate room dimensions, functional layout, and basic furniture placement.
Include key prefab structural details and materials for affordability and quick assembly.
3. Elevation Drawings
Provide front, rear, and side elevations showing proposed façade treatments, roof types, doors/windows, and materials.
Maintain a consistent architectural style across all units.
Highlight energy-efficient and weather-resistant design features suitable for tropical conditions.
4. 3D Renderings / Visualizations
Generate realistic 3D exterior renderings of the entire community layout.
Include aerial and street-level perspectives showing building arrangement, landscaping, and parking.
Render a few sample units close-up to show design detail and aesthetics.
Key Requirements:
All buildings and infrastructure must be contained within one land parcel.
Ensure adequate parking and vehicular circulation throughout the site.
Mark potential future building zones clearly in the plan.
Prioritize sustainable, low-cost prefab construction methods and efficient land use.
Ensure designs comply with local Turks and Caicos planning and environmental standards.
