Plumbing Designer Needed for 12-Unit Studio Apartment Conversion (New Brunswick, Canada)
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
Project Overview:
We are converting an existing school office building into 12 identical single-floor studio apartments
located in New Brunswick, Canada.
Each side of the corridor has 6 apartments, and all apartments are mirror images of each other.
We have the floor plan ready.
Plumbing Requirements:- 2 main manifolds: 1 for hot water, 1 for cold water (both located in the Mechanical Room).- 2 x 100-gallon central water heaters (hot water supply).- PEX piping for hot and cold water.- ABS piping for drainage.- 4-inch main drain line running under the corridor in the crawl space.- Drain hole, hot water, and cold water originate from the Mechanical Room.- All apartments have:
- 1 kitchen sink
- 1 toilet
- 1 vanity
- 1 shower base- All water supply and drainage lines run through the corridor crawl space to each unit.- The plumbing design must comply with the National Plumbing Code of Canada (NPC) and New
Brunswick regulations.
Deliverables:- Full Plumbing Drawings (PDF + CAD or compatible format)- Layout showing:
- Water line routing (hot/cold)
- Drainage line routing

- Manifold details- Material List (sizing for PEX, ABS pipes, valves, fittings)- Sizing calculation for water heaters and drainpipes if needed- All necessary documentation required to obtain a city building/plumbing permit- Drawings must be stamped/sealed by a licensed professional if required by the city
Skills Required:- Experience with multi-unit residential plumbing design (Canada)- Familiarity with New Brunswick and National Plumbing Code of Canada (NPC)- CAD drawing skills (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)- Ability to create drawings and documents suitable for city permit application
