Add pergola (patio cover) to NW corner of existing home. Dimensions 24ft deep x 18ft wide. Top of
structure 11ft above the existing patio paver surface. Structure fits comfortably within the defined
building envelope. Level lot.
Structure to be supported on 6ea 8” x 8” fir posts bolted to galvanized post bases set in concrete piers.
Main beams consist of 2ea 3” x 12” on each side of 3ea 8” x 8” posts running along each side of the 24ft
length of the structure. Total of 4ea 3” x 12” beams. The beams will be topped by 22ea 18ft x2” x 10”
shade joists on approx. 13” centers.
All members to be full dimensional re-sawn Douglas fir with architectural detail matching existing timber accent features on the front of the house.
All timbers will be primed and painted to match the existing house color
