Part-time AutoCad Designer (16 hours per week)

Social enterprise Library of Things https://www.libraryofthings.co.uk/ is looking for someone skilled in AutoCAD
design and hardware functionality to oversee the technical elements of our
self-serve item borrowing lockers.

Role Description

You’ll be responsible for designing the layout of prefabricated standard-sized
lockers using computer-aided design software applications such as AutoCAD:

●Liaise with fabricators and verify dimensions before production of lockers
●Attend installation of lockers onsite (will occasionally include one weekend
day per month)
●Create drawings in both 2 and 3-dimensional form.
●Design floor plans, elevations, and realistic renderings with the help of
software.
●Visit sites like libraries and community centres, and assess their viability
from a technical perspective.
●Submit detailed site reports together with internal and external
photographs of the site
●Good knowledge of electrical cabling an advantage
●Responsible for solutions and improvements to the lockers at all of our
borrowing locations with a particular focus on the locking system and
electrical cabling
