Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
**Must be licensed in California.**
My design is based on a pre engineered netting system. I have drafted a sketch for a 30-ft-tall softball backstop net in Ontario, California: four Schedule-40 steel poles (8.625" OD) set 5 ft direct-bury, two behind home plate and one down each foul line, supporting a tie-back / tensioned Sportsfield-style net system.
What I need now is a licensed structural engineer who can:
• Review my layout and pole sizing, check wind and seismic loads, and verify the embedment depth
• Identify the correct Ontario / California codes that apply (I do not yet have a code list)
• Work without a geotechnical report; if you need minimum soil parameters, advise me on reasonable assumptions or additional info to request
• Produce stamped structural calculations and permit-ready drawings that the city will accept (PDF plus original stamp)
