Office Heat Gain/Loss Calculations

Job ID: 40354054

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I need a complete heat-loss and heat-gain analysis for an office building of under 50,000 sq ft. All modelling must be carried out in IES VE (or software that offers equivalent dynamic thermal simulation accuracy), and the final numbers must be suitable for sizing the HVAC system and satisfying code submissions. Project is in the UK.

Scope
• Import my Revit model (I will supply the .rvt file and a brief schedule of constructions) and confirm geometry, orientation, and space usage.
• Apply realistic envelope, infiltration, internal load and schedule data; flag any information you still need from me.
• Run peak heating and cooling load calculations, then provide both whole-building and room-by-room results.
• Summarise key assumptions, diversity factors, weather file used and safety margins so the engineering team can trace every figure.

Deliverables
1. Native IES (or equivalent) project file.
2. PDF report with: methodology, input summary, hourly load graphs, peak design day tables and recommendations.
3. Spreadsheet export of the final sizing numbers.

Acceptance
I will review the model inputs and expect total heat gains and losses to balance with envelope and internal load data within ±5 % of manual check figures. Please state your experience with IES or comparable dynamic tools when you respond, along with an indicative timeline to first draft results.
